Photos that almost made the 2025 Nature Calendar. You can tell me how I decided wrong in choosing the final 14 photos...

Some chosen because they are colorful. Some because they are not so often seen. Some because I perceive they are popular. Hopefully it's a good mix that people will enjoy seeing all year long.

Eclipse Photos taken in Hinesburg, VT on 4/8/24. Some of totality photos are taken at higher exposures to highlight the corona. I do wonder what our ancestors thought when they had this happen. It's easy to see how this would cause awe as well as concern.

I enjoyed the St, Louis Zoo as much or even more then our young son. It was very well designed and the animals seemed well taken care of by the staff. These photos were with an older camera and by a very inexperienced photographer. Glad to see photos were as usable as they were. Lots of mistakes made...
