The Friendly Sandpiper 5/12/25 - 1/1600; f/9; 2500 ISO One of the nature photographer's sayings is "sometimes you just need to find the right bird". For a spotted sandpiper, this was him/her. I sat near the Otter Creek boat launch for an hour of so while he hunted and strolled the shore. Sometimes 50' away, sometimes right at my feet, too close for the telephoto lens to focus. So much fun to observe!
